The Thames Boat Project

Began : February 2020

This project expanded a lot of knowledge when working with an audience, this being Refugee Action Kingston, it was important to understand the needs for the space and the audience. Which meant construction skills were elevated when understanding accessibility. Experimenting with interior and exterior spaces, adjustable systems were necessary; through pop up, pull down and push down furniture elements as well as a fold away canopy for functionality while travelling.

Pop-up Space for Weekday

Began : September 2020

Designing for a commercial retail brand called Weekday, with the intention to educate on circular economy in relation to the brand. Therefore the construction as well as the activities held within this space is furthering Weekday as a sustainable brand - locating it in Kingston, for the Kingston re-imagine project, was to enable Weekday to expand it's audience. The curves were inspired by Thomas Heatherwicks' Temple - replicating clothing.

Asylum Chapel Theatre

Began : January 2019

Re-modelling a bomb-damaged chapel, with a theatre space allowed scope into a lot of area. This project expanded my technical software skills, as well as understanding constructional needs for buildings. Inspired by Lina Bo Bardis', Teatro Oficina - the concept was to play with heights and how the multitude of ways to see this incredible existing space. Therefore the relationship this creates with the audience and the performers.

Spa + Tea room

Began :  Feburary 2019

This re-use project, focused in the Whitgift Centre, Croydon - was aiming to rejuvenate this forgotten shopping centre. Mainly due to the possible aims to create a new Westfield. Therefore, it was necessary to bring some focus back to what once a celebrated community space. Bringing in a spa and tea room was for the audience of young to older people, allowing a safe and relaxing space for the community. So bringing in double heighted ceilings and a strong circulation route made from a frosted glass, grid inspired by the existing construction of the space.
